  • Time Zone: So WristLog can show times in your local timezone.
  • Email Preferences: Whether you want reminder emails or not.

Your Watch Data

  • Watch Collection: Names, brands, models, specs, and photos of your watches.
  • Daily Logs: Records of which watches you wear each day (wristchecks).

WristLog's Own Analytics

WristLog uses self-hosted Plausible Analytics to understand how the website is used. This runs on WristLog's own servers, so analytics data never leaves the system or gets shared with anyone. It doesn't use cookies and only collects anonymous, aggregated data like page views and general location (country level). Learn more at plausible.io/privacy.

Third-Party Services WristLog Uses

Error Tracking

WristLog uses Sentry to catch and fix bugs. When something goes wrong, Sentry helps identify what happened so it can get fixed quickly.

Data Storage

Your data lives on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers. Photos are stored in AWS S3, and WristLog may use AWS Bedrock for AI features like watch insights.

How WristLog Protects Your Data

  • Encrypted Passwords: Your password is encrypted and can't be read by anyone.
  • Secure Servers: Data is stored on secure cloud servers with proper security controls.
  • Limited Access: Only the developer (Adam) can access your data, and only when needed to fix problems.
  • Automatic Cleanup: All your data are deleted right away when you cancel your account.

Your Control Over Your Data

Export Everything

Download all your WristLog data in CSV format anytime from your data management page.

Email Settings

Turn off reminder emails in your account settings if you don't want them. Important emails like password resets will still be sent.

Delete Your Account

Delete your account anytime and all your data gets permanently removed. This can't be undone.

Does WristLog Share Your Data?

No. WristLog doesn't sell, trade, or give away your personal information. The only exceptions are:

  • Service Providers: The technical services mentioned above (Sentry, AWS) that help run WristLog.
  • Legal Stuff: If required by law or to protect WristLog from abuse.

International Users

WristLog runs from server located in data center in European Union.

Age Requirement

WristLog cannot be used by anyone under 18 years old. If you're under 18, please don't create an account or use the service.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy might get updated occasionally. If there are big changes, you'll see the new version here with an updated date at the top.

Demo Account

The demo account lets you try WristLog without signing up. Demo data gets reset regularly and isn't private.

Cookies

WristLog uses cookies to make the service work properly:

Required Cookies

  • Login Session: Keeps you logged in while you use WristLog. Gets deleted when you close your browser.
  • Security Tokens: Protects your account from hackers and validates that it's really you.
  • Remember Me: If you check "Remember me" when logging in, this keeps you logged in.

No Tracking Cookies

WristLog uses Plausible Analytics, which doesn't use cookies at all. It just counts page views without tracking who you are or following you around the internet.

Managing Cookies

You can control cookies in your browser settings:

  • Block All Cookies: WristLog will try to work but won't be able to keep you logged in properly. You'll need to log in constantly.
  • Delete Cookies: You'll need to log in again.
  • Third-Party Tracking: WristLog doesn't use any tracking or advertising cookies.

Bottom line: While WristLog might technically function without cookies, it will be very inconvenient since you can't stay logged in.
